2023 MINK Schedule Released

Phil Welch Stadium, St. Joseph, Missouri NORTH KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI - By Chris Kamler

The 2023 MINK League Schedule has been released and teams are gearing up for the season ahead!

Once again, summer around the Midwest will be filled with the sounds of bat on ball, the smells of hot dogs and popcorn, and the cheers of the crowd as the MINK League launches into their 2023 season with all nine teams from last season doing battle again this year.

All eyes will be on historic Merchants Park in Carroll, Iowa as the Merchants will open up the 2023 season hosting the Des Moines Peak Prospects on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29 at 4:00 PM. Carroll and Des Moines finished within a game of each other with Des Moines eeking out a post-season berth last year - so they have some scores to settle.

The Peak Prospects will then head to Sedalia, Missouri, kicking off their fourth season of operation, for an home opening day doubleheader Tuesday, May 30 at the Sedalia Bombers starting at 4:00. Sedalia entered the postseason last year as the top dog in the South Division, but were narrowly beaten by Jeff City 2-1 in the opening round. The Merchants will open their home season hosting Chillicothe at 6:30 on the 30th.

Speaking of Jefferson City, they'll play host to the Bombers on Wednesday, May 31 for their home opener at 7:00. The rematch of that opening round battle looks to be a good one as the Renegades are once again reloaded for a championship run.

Perineal championship favorite, the Clarinda A's will open their latest season hosting the Carroll Merchants on Wednesday, May 31 at 7:00. Clarinda was knocked out in the second round of the playoffs after tying with St. Joe for the best regular season record last season.

On Thursday, June 1st, the Outlaws from Joplin will open their regular season at home hosting the Peak Prospects. Joplin made it to the Championship series last year after finishing the regular season with the best record in the South Division. They took the Mustangs to a third game in the Championship series.

Des Moines will open their home season at their new home - Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa - on Monday, June 5 as they play host to the Renegades. The home of the NCAA Division III Simpson College Storm, McBride field features an all-weather turf surface and some great amenities for the whole family.

Speaking of the post-season champs, the Mustangs open their MINK League season at home on Saturday, June 3 hosting the Griffons of Nevada. The Mustangs finished tied for the best record in the MINK last regular season and beat the Outlaws in three games in the Championship series last summer.

Also on the schedule for this year is the annual MINK League All-Star Game - this year to be held on Sunday, July 9 at Chillicothe. The day of fun will start with the Home Run Derby at 3:00, followed by the League's premiere all-star game event at 7:00.

And before you know it, we'll be heading into the postseason again with the following schedule:

  • Wild Card Games - July 24 & 25
  • Championship Series - July 27, 28, and 29 if necessary

The MINK League is the premiere wood bat league in the Midwest. If you're in the area, make sure you stop by for some family-friendly fun! All teams schedules are available right here on the League Website above at SCHEDULES.
