MINK League Champions
The Bruins have clinched the '08 MINK league title. Therefore, Beatrice will be a seeded team in the NBC World Series, in Wichita, KS.

Giants eliminated from Regional
The Topeka Golden Giants lost to the Wichita Sluggers by the score of 13-3 after 5 innings yesterday, ending their chance at an NBC World Series bid, and ending their 2008 season.

Chillicothe Mudcat's season comes to an end
The mudcats have a huge win in their first win against the Clarinda's 15-5. However, they come back with a disappointing loss in their second game 7-4 taking them out of the running for the championships. The Clarinda A's are the tournament champions and earn the NBC World Series Tournament bid.

The M.I.N.K. League is composed of teams from Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, and Kansas and the league started in 1910 with a six team charter.

2008 Central USA Central Regional Tournament

The Clarinda A's will again host the 2008 Central USA Central Regional Tournament which will run from Friday, July 25 through Monday, July 28.

Participating in this year's event are the A's, Chillicothe Mudcats, FCA Grays, Omaha Diamond Spirit and Omaha D J's Dugout. Beatrice Bruins, last year's defending champion will not participate as they have already qualified for the NBC World Series in Wichita by winning the MINK League.

Winner of the regional tournament will advance to the World Series which runs August 1-15.

Playing for a League

Interested in playing for a team in the M.I.N.K. League? The following links will take you to their site for information and applications. For those that don't have that information readily available, the link will allow you to send an e-mail to a contact for the team.

If you have played for a professional baseball club, you may play for one of these leagues. However, if you were released after June 1, 2008, you would not be permitted to play in the World Series.
